COGNITIVE THERAPY SERVICES

Following a traumatic event (brain injury, stroke, concussion, lack of oxygen to the brain), patients will often have cognitive changes that impact everyday activities. Implementation of structured cognitive intervention paired with compensatory strategy training will increase independence. Your loved one may be having difficulty with:

  • Difficulty solving daily problems

  • Trouble maintaining attention

  • Being unable to retain new information or general forgetfulness

  • Inability to complete multi-step tasks such as finance or medication management

  • Decreased safety awareness or insight into deficits
